Health care and Community developmentHealth CareThe work amongst abandoned children raised our awareness of the medical needs including those in the wider community. Since 1999 we have been initiating programmes to provide medical and dental care for our children, local Chinese staff and overseas personnel. This led in 2004 to the opening of a Health Services Centre in a major city in northwest China meeting the specific health issues of many of our children and those of our Chinese staff and overseas personnel and also seeks to promote medical care for the poor and disadvantaged in the local community. For many in China access to essential health services is still very limited. Contact us to find out how you can use your professional skills in China. |
